About us

Many people are unknown about Satungal, so here we are to promote our village. This village is Newar Community located at the western part of Kathmandu linked with Tribhuvan Highway. 1 of the 7 gaule jatra is held every year in the season of winter.

Introduction about Satungal

Satungal is one of the very beautiful village of Kathmandu. It lies in between Balambu and Naikap. Satungal is one of the peace and pollution free areas. But now population is increasing day by day. This village is well developed then other neighboring village. Satungal is also known as Satyapur.

As we know that many people likes to live in very peaceful environment. Everyone can enjoy their happy living in Satungal. As we know that our country is rich in cultural, religious and festivals. Newar Community people of here celebrate different jatras mainly Saat Gaunle Jatra(Bishnu Devi Jatra), Lakhe Naach and many other. Most of the people of this locality are Newar but many people from other district come here to live because of clean drinking water facility, less pollution and transportation. They all live in the society happily and mostly all people have unity in need.

There are various factories and water resources in Satungal. There are oxygen factory, bricks factory, textile factory, frooti factory, TATA sipradi and many more.

The main highway of our country ‘prithvi highway’ touches our village. Many temples are built in this area. There are many schools for the children of the locality. They can get quality education from these institutions. Having Police office and Armed Police Force(APF) barrack in this area Satungal is secured place. A very big hospital of APF gives to the people very quick and efficient service for the people of this locality and other too.

That’s why our Satungal is very beautiful and clean village for living and visiting.
